Graduate Assistant Pay Move to Biweekly Payroll Periods and Pay Dates
MSU will move the graduate assistants to the biweekly payroll periods and pay dates beginning for summer semester 2009. This move will allow graduate assistants to continue to hold and be paid for hourly student jobs.
How this impacts you…
Spring semester 2009 appointments will be paid according to the current payroll periods and pay dates. The last payment for Spring semester 2009 will be May 15, 2009.
Beginning with Summer semester 2009, payments will be paid on a biweekly basis – paychecks will be issued every other Friday. Graduate Assistants will receive their pay for graduate assistantships and any hourly student jobs in one check.
On Friday, June 5, 2009, graduate assistants holding Summer semester 2009 appointments will receive their first pay for summer semester for the one week period of 5/16/09-5/24/09.
The next pay date will be Friday, June 19, 2009 and will cover the two week period of 5/25/09-6/07/09. Graduate Assistants will be paid on a biweekly basis from this date forward.
